Regarding the change in country of origin for Chuck Taylors
Regarding CT70s produced after August 2019:
Due to a change in the US Converse supply chain, some products are now produced as MADE IN CHINA in addition to the traditional MADE IN VIETNAM.
We understand that some of you may believe that only CT70s made in Vietnam are genuine. However, all products we handle are authentic, supplied by authorized vendors and stores.
① Change in the country of manufacture on the box.
Before August 2019: MADE IN VIETNAM FABRIQUE AU VITENAM
After August 2019: MADE IN CHINA FABRIQUE EN CHINE
② Change in the country of manufacture on the product tag.
Before August 2019: Country of manufacture: 베트남 (Vietnam)
After August 2019: Country of manufacture: 중국 (China)
③ Change in the country of manufacture on the tongue tag.
Before August 2019: MADE IN VIETNAM FABRIQUE AU VITENAM
After August 2019: MADE IN CHINA FABRIQUE EN CHINE
④ There are no changes to the heel patch or overall quality.
We will update this page when there are further model changes.
Please be aware that in the future, two types of classic color models will exist: those made in Vietnam and those made in China.
※It is currently unknown whether all models will eventually switch from Vietnamese manufacturing to Chinese manufacturing.
