A pair to commemorate the final season of Stranger Things!
"CONVERSE's" masterpiece basketball shoes, the "WEAPON", will be released in a Hawkins-themed version to commemorate the final season of NETFLIX's popular series "STRANGER THINGS". The off-white, blue, and white color blocking is a symbol of 80s nostalgia, reminiscent of the original colors from 1984 and classic NBA teams. The premium leather upper features cracks and faded distressed processing, creating the realistic impression that "a Hawkins high school student would wear these to play basketball." This creates a vintage feel that matches the 1980s setting of the show.
Furthermore, the inner lining of the shoes is printed with fictional newspaper article graphics, designed to encapsulate the paranormal phenomena occurring in the town. The toe perforations have been changed from the usual circular arrangement to a unique pattern mimicking audio waveforms. This visualizes the key radio communication and contact sounds in the show, paying homage to the radio's important role. The insoles feature illustrations of the series' main antagonists, "Vecna" and "Mind Flayer," printed with different designs on the left and right, creating a humorous touch by having these formidable enemies underfoot.
Additionally, the tongue label has an "UPSIDE DOWN" specification, visually representing the key concept of the "Upside Down." Two types of charms are included as shoelace accessories: a vintage lunchbox and a charm resembling a "RECORDING" sign, adding to the atmosphere of 80s children's icons and radio stations.
