Privacy Policy

Our shop recognizes the importance of protecting our customers’ personal information. We comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the “APPI”) and, in accordance with the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as this “Privacy Policy”), make every effort to appropriately handle and protect personal information.

1. Definition of Personal Information

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” means personal information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the APPI, namely, information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other descriptions contained in such information (including information that can be readily compared with, or cross-referenced with, other information and thereby used to identify a specific individual), or information containing an individual identification code.

2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

Our shop will use customers’ personal information for the following purposes:

• (1) To provide our shop’s services

• (2) To respond to inquiries and other requests concerning our shop’s services

• (3) To provide information regarding our shop’s products and services

• (4) To respond to conduct that violates our shop’s terms, policies, or other rules relating to our shop’s services

• (5) To notify customers of changes to our shop’s terms, policies, or other rules relating to our shop’s services

• (6) To improve our shop’s services and develop new services

• (7) To create statistical data, processed in a manner that does not allow individual customers to be identified, in connection with our shop’s services

• (8) For purposes incidental to the purposes of use listed above

3. Changes to the Purpose of Use of Personal Information

Our shop may change the purpose of use of personal information to the extent reasonably deemed to be relevant to the original purpose. In the event of such a change, we will notify customers or publicly announce the revised purpose.

4. Restrictions on the Use of Personal Information

Except as permitted by the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations, our shop will not handle customers’ personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the stated purposes of use without obtaining the customers’ consent. However, this restriction does not apply in the following cases:

• (1) When required by law

• (2) When it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the customer’s consent

• (3) When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain the customer’s consent

• (4) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government agency, local government, or a person entrusted by either in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the customer’s consent may impede the performance of such duties

5. Proper Acquisition of Personal Information

Our shop will acquire personal information in an appropriate manner and will not obtain personal information through false, deceptive, or other unlawful means.

6. Security Measures for Personal Information

Our shop will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over its employees to ensure the secure management of personal information against risks such as loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage.

In addition, when our shop outsources all or part of the handling of personal information to a third party, we will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the outsourced party to ensure the secure management of personal information.

7. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Except where disclosure is permitted under the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations, our shop will not provide customers’ personal information to any third party without obtaining the customer’s prior consent. However, the following cases do not constitute the provision of personal information to a third party:

• (1) When our shop provides personal information to an outsourced service provider in connection with outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use

• (2) When personal information is provided in connection with a business succession due to a merger or other reasons

• (3) When personal information is jointly used in accordance with the provisions of the APPI

8. Disclosure of Personal Information

When our shop receives a request from a customer for disclosure of their personal information pursuant to the provisions of the APPI, we will, after confirming that the request is made by the customer themselves, disclose the relevant personal information to the customer without undue delay. If such personal information does not exist, we will notify the customer accordingly.

However, this does not apply where our shop is not legally obligated to disclose such information under the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations.

9. Correction, Addition, or Deletion of Personal Information

When a customer requests the correction, addition, or deletion of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Correction, etc.”) pursuant to the APPI on the grounds that the information is inaccurate, our shop will, after confirming that the request is made by the customer themselves, promptly conduct the necessary investigation to the extent required to achieve the purposes of use.

Based on the results of such investigation, our shop will make the necessary Correction, etc. to the personal information and notify the customer accordingly. If we decide not to make such Correction, etc., we will notify the customer of our decision.

However, this does not apply where our shop is not legally obligated to make such Correction, etc. under the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations.

10. Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information

When a customer requests the suspension of use or deletion of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Suspension of Use, etc.”) pursuant to the APPI on the grounds that the personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the publicly announced purposes of use, or that it was obtained through false, deceptive, or other unlawful means, and it is determined that there are reasonable grounds for the request, our shop will, after confirming that the request is made by the customer themselves, promptly carry out the necessary Suspension of Use, etc. and notify the customer accordingly.

However, this does not apply where our shop is not legally obligated to carry out such Suspension of Use, etc. under the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations.

11. Use of Cookies and Other Technologies

Our shop’s services may use Cookies and similar technologies. These technologies help our shop understand how customers use our services and contribute to improving the quality of our services.

Customers who wish to disable Cookies can do so by changing the settings of their web browser. However, disabling Cookies may prevent customers from using some functions of our services.
